Mission.
To help the community thrive by offering individuals a way to become more self-sufficient. To instill a sense of hope within the individual and the community.

What we do.
Provide a helping hand to those needing basic necessities.

All citizens within the Bishop community are invited to use our facility if the need arises.
The National Weather Service predicts warm conditions Saturday and Sunday before a cold front moves into the region, bringing cooler temperatures. Low temperatures could drop to near freezing through Thursday night.
As we look forward to closing out 2024, I would like to remind everyone that we are a 501(c)(3) charitable tax-exempt organization.
On Christmas day, 2024, we served 13 meals to those who came to the Main Street Soup Kitchen.
Thank you for allowing us to be of service to the citizens of Bishop and the surrounding area. We will be starting our 4th year serving the needs of all those who have used our facilities.
You’re not the only one going through trauma and sharing helps to ease the burden.
The idea is simple: "Take what you need, leave what you can."
We are getting a good flow of people coming from all over to shop in our Thrift Shop and even those out-of-towners are donating needed grocery items to help us along the way.
That person had no idea that I was going to reverse engineer this meal so that I could serve it in our Soup Kitchen.
We really need more participation in the Thrift Shop area from citizens here and the surrounding areas so please tell your friends in other cities about the great little thrift shop in Bishop.
